You will even find a chapter for Make-Ahead Slow Cooker Freezer Meals. This is perfect for those days when you don't want to cook, but still crave a hot homemade meal. With just a little prep work ahead of time you'll have a easy freezer meal that's ready to toss in the slow cooker when you need it. Freezer meals have saved me a time or two in the past, so I am always thankful that I have them on hand.
This recipe for Crock Pot Apple Pumpkin Cake immediately caught my eye! My family loves anything that involves pumpkin, so I was excited to make this cake. I just recently started making dessert in my crock pot and let me tell you it makes things so much easier, and they taste really good. I don't know why I waited so long.
This recipe was sort of like a dump cake recipe where you add the apple pie filling at the bottom of you slow cooker, and just spread the cake batter on top. That's it! Just cover and bake.
I was a bit skeptical if the cake would bake, but as you can see from the photo it baked up beautifully. Add a dollop of whipping cream and you have a quick easy dessert. I will definitely be making this cake again when fall arrives.

The second recipe on my to make list was a savory one. Crock Pot Teriyaki Pork Roast. This meal was one of my favorites and turned out super tender. I love teriyaki chicken, but pork is just as wonderful. This recipe was perfect for the one of many pork roasts I keep stocked in my freezer.

My favorite crock pot dish is pot roast with potatoes, carrots & red onions with ginger teriyaki glaze. Bon appetite :))
These are great sandwiches!!!
Thanks for doing this. I love the crock pot when it is 110 here in Texas! Someone mentioned even putting the crock pot outside to help with the heat:)

The Gooseberry Patch cookbooks are the best. They have the most wonderful recipes.
I use my slow cooker for so many things;preparing different meats from soups to stews as well as desserts.
I guess I would have to say the Hot Fudge Sundae Cake is a big favorite here.
Thank you for this wonderful giveaway opportunity.

My favorite crockpot meal is a good old fashion pot roast. Throw in the standard veggies and you have a good comfort meal. Easy and delicious!
