December Menu {Menu Plan Monthly}

Ladies and gentlemen start your ovens and let the baking begin!! In my house from now until Christmas I will be doing nothing but baking cookies, quick breads and candies. Ti's the season for all those yummy sweets. December is my biggest baking month out of the whole year and I love it.

I usually start the begining of December and bake one to three things each week and store them in the freezer. That way by the end of the month I have pretty good variety of items for family, friends and the kid's teachers. I like doing it this way so I don't get so burnt out by the time Christmas rolls around. Plus it is a great way to hide all the goodies until the holiday.

The kids usually help me bake a few things so that helps out a lot. But the last week before Christmas can get pretty hectic. The kids and I get together in the kitchen and load up all their teacher gift bags with a variety of yummy goodies. Put together our family gift trays and when that's all done we can finally sit back and enjoy the holiday together.

Putting all sweets aside, I have some great meals planned out for my December Menu. Hopefully this will balance out some of the sugar that will be consumed this month. We are having ham for
Christmas dinner so I am hoping to make a few meals with the leftovers.

Our Christmas dinner looks a little bit like our Thanksgiving meal but I can't help it, those are our favorite holiday dishes. What do you plan on making for Christmas Dinner? Also do you have a monthly menu plan that you would like to share? If so link up for Menu Plan Monthly at the end of this post. Thank you to everyone who participates.

Yes December is always a big month. I guess I have gotten used to doing all the extra goodies. It's not bad if you do a little each week.

Michele the eggnog bundt cakes are really good. They are perfect for gift giving as well. Thank you for the nice comment on my menu, December is always a big month at our house. The kids will be out of school for 3 weeks so lots of cooking at home. Happy Holidays.
