It's been a crazy at our house this past week. It was the first week of school, so we were all kind of adjusting to everything again. Getting everyone up early!! No More Sleeping in and no one understands that. I have on starting High School one starting Kindergarten and one in the middle in the third grade.
The hardest adjustment is getting my youngest one going he still really doenst get the fact that he has to go to school, he still thinks its a choice LOL. Plus I started watching a 6 month old so its been a big adjustment for everyone. It is nice to have a baby in the house again Ü. Time has been really pressed this week, but we will get it all figured out. It's only the first week right? I think all in all it went really well.
You can use stew meat, chuck eye or a cheaper cut. It cooks slowly at 300 degrees for 3 hours so the meat will get really tender so a cheaper cut is fine. I hope you enjoy the beef tips as much as I do it's one of my favorite meals. Perfect if you have guests coming for dinner that way you don't have to spend the whole time in the kitchen preparing the meal. Lets get started. Remember the full recipe is at the bottom of this post.
These are the Ingredients you will need.
Stew meat, chuck eye or chuck roast, brown gravy mix, onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup and gingerale or water.
add 1 cup water or ginger ale. The ginger ale adds a bit of a sweet flavor to the gravy. I prefer to use water.
pour over the meat add mushrooms and stir to coat. (I did not use mushrooms my DH asked me not to) darn it mushrooms are the best part.
Cover with foil tightly and bake at 300 degrees for 3 Hours do not remove foil until done. This is where it earned it's name NO PEEK!!!
Be very careful when removing the foil the steam is very hot and will escape fast. Let cool a bit and serve over rice or noodles.
Very Yummo!!! The meat turns out very tender and the gravy is the perfect consistency. I served mine with fresh french bread and broccoli with cheese sauce.
1 - 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
1 – packet brown gravy mix
1 - packet lipton dry onion soup mix
1 – small can mushrooms
1 - cup water or ginger ale
Add cubed meat to a 9 x 13 inch pan. In a big bowl mix the remaining ingredients together and pour over the meat add mushrooms and stir to coat. Cover with foil and bake at 300 degrees for 3 Hours do not remove foil until done. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes or noodles.

That looks great! And yes, I totally agree - food can be pretty. I think you'd be pushing it to try to call food handsome, but pretty is definitely acceptable. :-)

Oh cool. I was wondering about the name. wow, 3 hours. It's great you can just throw it together and leave it alone for awhile. A good weekend meal for me.

Shawna :)
I just made this tonight for the first time and it was divine! I also posted the link on all my message boards to share with my friends :) Can't wait to try some of your other recipes!
thanks for the beef tip recipe. i made this for dinner. it was an immediate hit!! I even doubled the recipe and still had to elbow my way in to get some! HA!!
I am so glad you loved the beef tips recipe. Is is one of my favorites its so darn easy i just cant get over it myself. I just love that gravy. I hope you keep visiting mommys kitchen.
We had these for supper last night and they were delicious and super easy. The hardest part was cutting the meat. We liked them even better than the ones we get at one of our favorite restaurant.
I made this and everyone loved it. I used stew meat and it turned out wonderful.
I just found your site (by way of another mom's recommendation). This recipe sounds great. I saw several comments that asked about using the crock pot. For a working mom who's gone all day, that sounds great. Has anyone tried it?
That is so funny that I got a comment tonight on the beef tips. We just had it for dinner a couple hours ago. I prepared mine in the oven as always. I think if you want to make it in the crock pot. Just add the meat and the rest of the ingredients and Cook on low 5-6hours or on high 3-4 hours. I did have one person tell me awhile back when the prepared it in the crockpot it was a bit watery. That is why i prepare mine in the oven, becuause the gravy is perfect everytime.
I just found your site thru a google search and just today I have made 2 of the receips on here. The No Peek Beef tips are now cooking, earlier for lunch we had the popcorn-sesame chicken...yum! Your recipes are very easy to follow, I am all about pictures. Thank you soo much for your Blog..it has become my recipe book. :)
Yum -- this was awesome! I had (and lost) a tasty crockpot beef and noodles recipe, but it required three cans of the pricier Campbell's soup that don't have store brand equivalents and it usually turned out a bit watery. This was perfect! Next up: Fall off the Bone Ribs! :)
I've made this many times since I found your site. It always turns out great. It's my husband's favorite. Yum. I've even served it to company.
Donna I am so glad you like it. This recipe is perfect for company or a crowd. The meat turns out fork tender everytime. Thanks for stopping by.
Ok, finally made this and it is so easy and foolproof, even for me!! Will be on my monthly menu rotation for sure. Thanks for your site.
Linda
I am so glad you liked the beef tips. It really is foolproof. Thanks for stopping by to comment.
Mmmmm... fabulous! I just made these this weekend and posted about it here.
Loved them! Thanks for the recipe!
Made this the other day and it is SO yummy! My 8 year old "beef aficionado" said "MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" with the first bite and then proclaimed this the #1 recipe for the month" ( and we still have the whole month to go) He said it tasted like my pot roast that he loves but BETTER ...so in my book that is a keeper!
Just made "No Peek Beef Tips" smell wonderful, taste good but imo a bit salty, I think I will try to find the ingredients with the lowest sodium for the next time around.
I shared this recipe on my blog today with a note about your wonderful site. I love your recipes!!

Hi. I was wondering if there was a substitute for the mushroom soup for the beef tips?
This was awesome and easy! I need more like this-few ingredients and little effort.
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe. I googled a recipe, Chocolate Chess Pie, last year for my hun to make for the holiday season since both of our mothers are passed away & made excellent foods but no recipes to pass down. Well ever since then I come to your board first for great southern homestyle recipes esp. this one, this is a HUGE HIT at my house. Super Duper easy to make the only change I make to mine is instead of using just plain onion soup mix I use Lipton's Beefy Onion, love it w/ mushrooms but the hun & kiddo don't. :( This reminds me of how my mother used to make them for her work--sooo delish. & I must apologize for I have now became a Mommys Kitchen stalker I just love the ease, simplicity, & taste of every single recipe i've made from here so Thank You for this blog, again LOVE it! :D --Tina
Thank you so much for the nice comment about MK. I love that chocolate chess pie recipe it's so fudgy and delicious. I will use the beefy onion soup next time. I bet it gives it a rich flavor and that would be great. Don't worry about becoming a stalker because I stalk a few cooking blogs myself. LOL
Hi, new fan here! I was wondering if you or anyone else could suggest a substitute for the cream of mushroom soup? I really want to try this recipe, but I'm allergic to mushrooms.
Erica here is a link with a few ideas to substitute cream soups.

I came back to get the recipe to make it for the second time. This time I'm doubling it! The family was so upset we ran out last time. Delicious and Easy! Thank you so very much!
