I'm loving this cookbook so many great home cooked dishes and southern recipes, which just so happens to be my favorite. My husband bought me this cookbook from Borders and surprised me.
I couldn't believe the price he paid $8 from the bargain table what a steal. He said he wasn't sure what kind of cookbook it was it just looked good. I told him The Red Hat Society is a awesome group of woman and I had been wanting one of their cookbooks for my collection, so I think he did pretty good.
Their recipe for the chocolate chip cheese ball sounded really interesting, something I thought my kiddos would like especially since you can spread it on graham crackers or vanilla wafers.
I tossed the recipe together and my daughter said that looks weird. Off course judging it before she tastes it. I told her it had to sit a bit in the fridge and we could have it later that night when we played bowling on the Wii.
She really didn't like that answer she hates having to wait to taste something. Well, when I took the cheese ball out of the refrigerator to plate it up for photos who do you think was right behind me? Mackenzie of course, and by the looks of the photo above you can see she couldn't wait to try it.
I told her let me get a few pics and then you can dig it. Mackenzie said that she loves this dip and wants me to make it again. She said she likes the creamy sweet cheese mixture the best and not so much the chocolate chips. Now my oldest is the opposite he likes the chocolate chips best and told me that's the best part. Either way the kids loved it.

Like a ball of frosting. NOM NOM
I love to make this! If you have any leftover, it also works great as a "frosting" for brownies!
This sounds really yummy! I'll be giving it a try!!
my mouth is watering!
This does look good! How could it not be with that butter and sugar : ) I want some right now! I am popping over from SITS today!
We love chocolate chip cheeseball. Yum! It's like super easy cheese cake.
Visiting from SITS and, of course, the first recipe I would see would be this one! I'm hooked. Definitely following. Have a great day!

i am loving this, so fun!
I make this every year for Christmas. BUT I heat up hot fudge and pour over it just prior to serving. Yummy to the Tummy! I have also used it several times for neighbor gifts. I include the cheeseball, a box of Gingersnaps and a jar of hot fudge. Now who wouldn't want to receive THAT?!
Wow, definitely unique!!! I love what one commented said about giving it as a gift.
Glad to know that my 6 year old isn't the only impatient one. I never finish anything before she asks for a taste. Can't wait to make this it looks so good!!
Looks yummy and different
A friend made this recently for a dessert tasting we had and we all decided that the best thing to dip in it is pretzel sticks! So good! Also, it was even better the 2nd and 3rd days.
Oh wow, this looks so amazing! I love eating graham crackers with leftover buttercream frosting from the fridge, but i think this goes above and beyond that little concoction. Thanks for a great idea for family night--love it!!
