This banana pudding recipe calls for bananas, french vanilla instant pudding, sweetened condensed milk, whipped cream, cream cheese, and cookies.
As we wrap up "Paula Deen Week," today marks Day Five. I had promised to ease up on desserts, but while browsing Paula Deen's recipe site yesterday, I stumbled upon this delicious Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding. The photo was an instant "OMYGOODNESS" moment, compelling me to give it a try.
We already adore the traditional homemade banana pudding, so I wanted to see how Paula's simplified version would compare. My husband is a fan of sweetened condensed milk—I've caught him enjoying it straight from the can—will likely be a big fan of this dessert as well.
We headed to the store to gather the ingredients. This particular recipe is simple enough that my kids can take the lead, and they genuinely enjoy being involved in the kitchen. I decided to make a half batch using an 8 x 8 inch pan, which meant halving the amounts of cookies, bananas, milk, cream cheese, and for the pudding, I opted for a 3.5 oz box along with a 10 oz carton of Cool Whip. The result was absolutely delightful! Let's get started and my daughter will show you how to make this no cook banana pudding.
Line the bottom of a 13x9x2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies.
Put a even layer of bananas on top of the cookies.
In a bowl combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth.
Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended
Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Goodness we couldn't wait any longer before digging in. All I can say is Yummo Good!!!!!! Mackenzie is so proud that she made this dessert all by herself.

I love Paula Dean. She's such a character. Even my 18 year old daughter watches her food network show. This banana pudding recipe sounds delicious, especially with the Chessman cookies. I'll have to try it. Thanks for sharing.
Love the layout of your blog! :)
