Chicken Alfredo Pizza + Easy Alfredo Sauce Recipe

This Chicken Alfredo Pizza starts with a homemade pizza crust, topped with, Alfredo sauce, grilled chicken, garlic, provolone, mozzarella and an Italian cheese blend.
Today I'm sharing a recipe that combines two of my favorite things, Chicken Alfredo and Pizza! I wanted to get back into pizza night on a regular basis and we have been doing really good so far.

If it were up to me every Friday would be pizza night, but not everyone in my house is on board with that idea. It used to be that way, but since we moved back in April it hasn't been the same.

One thing I like to do is change up pizza variations so don't get bored with the same old thing. The younger ones pretty much like pepperoni and cheese, but once in a while the rest of us enjoy something a little different. That is where this yummy pizza comes in.

I know I'm not the first person to come up with a Chicken Alfredo Pizza, but I can tell you I love this version that I made. This pizza also uses a homemade pizza crust versus a store bought crust. I prefer a thicker crust over a thinner one, so my recipe is perfect to handle all these toppings.

I sauteed the chicken in some butter, garlic, salt and pepper before adding to the pizza. Another perk on my part is that instead of using all mozzarella. I added some non smoke provolone and a shredded Italian cheese blend.  All in all I think the the flavors came together quite nicely.

I did use a store bought Alfredo sauce and prepared grilled chicken. Yes folks even I like to take shortcuts sometimes. In my opinion pizza night should be easy and not fussy or complicated.

I prefer Bertolli Alfredo Sauce, but use a sauce of your choice. If you prefer a homemade Alfredo Sauce than I recommend the recipe below. That's the homemade sauce I use for this pizza when I have more time on my hands.

I find that jar sauce is just as good if you don't have time to make homemade. My favorite grilled chicken is the Foster Farms Grilled Chicken Strips from Costco.  I use them in my BBQ Chicken & Bacon Pizza and our favorite Chicken, Bacon & Veggie Pizza.

You can also use them in enchiladas and salads. Well I think I have gone on long enough about pizza don't ya think? Lets get to the recipe.

Here are some step by step photos of how it all came together (complete recipe & directions below). Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare and pre bake the pizza crust. Remove crust from oven and set aside. In a large pan melt the butter and then add the garlic.

Cook the garlic for about 2 minutes and then add the cubed chicken. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and saute' the chicken for about 5- 10 minutes on med-low. Remove from heat and set aside.

To assemble the pizza spread one cup of prepared Alfredo sauce evenly on the pre baked pizza crust. Add the sliced provolone and mozzarella cheese (alternating every other cheese). Add half of the cooked chicken and then the Italian cheese blend.

Top pizza with remaining cooked chicken and sprinkle on a bit more pepper. Place finished pizza in a preheated 400 degree oven for 20 minutes, or until bottom crust is lightly browned.

This one is a keeper for sure.

Oh my goodness! This looks so good. I can't wait to try this! I'm pinning it now!

I have a blog over at mrsmeandu.blogspot.com but I am getting ready to start a food blog. I was hoping you might be willing to do a guest post for me for the debut week of the blog. Please email me at theoverloadedmommy@gmail.com if you are interested! Thanks so much

I love reading all of the variations on pizza and I couldn't agree with you more about using some shortcuts when making it. I feel like sometimes we make a pizza and it was way more work than many other dishes (and I chose pizza because it sounds easy!) I love the flavors here and all of the different cheeses sounds delish!

I think using shortcuts is fine. I cheat most times myself. If not then it just becomes too much work for something that should be easy. I love pizza and it's so fun trying to come up with different variations.

Another option would be using boneless skinless chicken breast. Make some for a meal the day before and make extra to keep in the fridge for the pizza. Then just cut into chunks and add to the pizza (this could be done the day before too.
Other than using the oven you could have the kids make these and you just bake them. Let's the kids be involved and cuts down on your work.
It's all gooooood! :-)lol

OMG--I am in love with the No-Fail Pizza Crust recipe! We have tried several recipes in the past and thought I had found a keeper until I tried your recipe this week. Quick, easy & delish--my family said this is THE ONE--no need to try any others. Pizza night is definitely going to be easier/tastier from now on. Now we want to try different topping variations. Thanks for another winning recipe and Bon Appetit!

I made this delicious recipe into a baked sandwich. Before baking, I brushed the top of the dough with galic butter. Thanks for sharing!
