Creamy No Bake Peanut Butter Pie.

OK it is time to post something sweet again. Sorry but it's my weakness. The other day I mentioned that I was making a peanut butter pie, well this is it. I have been on the hunt for a true southern custard style peanut butter pie, but I still haven't found quite the right recipe yet. Well, that was until today.

I think I finally found the one I have been searching for!! I'm so excited, but that will have to wait for another day.  While I was poking around I came across this recipe for a No Bake Peanut Butter Pie. It wasn't what I was looking for, but definitely something I wanted try. I knew my kids would like it, because they love no bake desserts.

This recipe has just a hand full of ingredients. A chocolaty cookie crust, cream cheese, whipped topping, creamy peanut butter, sugar and peanut butter cups. How can you go wrong with all that. Plus you add even more peanut butter cups on top. I have to admit the photo alone with all those pretty little PB cup pieces on top had me wanting to make it a.s.a.p.

In the end this wasn't the pie I was looking for but a yummy consolation. I am so glad I made it. It was so rich and creamy all rolled in one. This would be the perfect dessert to take to a BBQ or get together because it can be made ahead of time and frozen until needed. It doesn't get any easier than that. If your looking for something quick, easy and yummy then you must go and make this pie. Ya know you want to!!!!

In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Fold in whipped topping.

Coarsely chop half of the peanut butter cups; stir into cream cheese mixture.

Spoon into crust.

Quarter remaining peanut butter cups; arrange over the top. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

This looks delicious Tina! I love peanut butter desserts! By the way, if you're still looking for a custard style peanut butter pie, I made one that I found on Homesick Texan. It's a traditional pie crust, filled with a peanut butter custard that's flavored with cayenne and cinnamon (sounds strange, but it's awesome) and a meringue topping. It is out of this world! I made it at Christmas and everyone was raving about it. Here's the link if you'd like to try it.

S Club Mama, you could use splenda in place of the sugar and us sugar free peanut butter cups. I saw them at walmart in the bulk candy isle. I dont know about the crust though.

Lizzy when i mentioned that I think i might of found the pie I was looking for, it was that exact recipe. I saw it on the HT site and it was originally from Bishops Grill. It is just the one I have been looking for. So great minds think alike. I cant wait to try it out.

I posted a pie similar to this one that I found on the Pioneer Woman-Queen-of-food-blogging site. It was super good...but I added a bunch of peanut butter cups on top, just like you have done! A girl can't pass up the opportunity to use peanut butter cups. It was heavenly!

This looks wonderful!! I always use my aunts recipe, which is just a tub of cool whip with p.b. mixed in it until you get the flavor you desire.

I bookmarked this recipe as soon as I saw it on I love peanut butter and chocolate, and the idea of having a dessert that can be whipped up quickly was incredibly appealing. Lucky for me my sister also saw this pie and made it for our dinner last night. It was extremely rich and oh so good!

I made this last night and it was very yummy, but I think I will be halfing the recipe next time. Its way to thick for me. I can barely eat a whole sliver. It is very good tho thanks for the recipe.
