Not Yo' Mama's Banana Pudding
2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
6-8 bananas, sliced
2 cups milk
1 - 5-ounce box instant French vanilla pudding
1 - 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 -14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 - 12-ounce container frozen whipped topping thawed (cool whip)
or equal amounts sweetened whip cream.
Line the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top. In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

I'd love to join your little group! I love Paula's recipes.
This one sounds delicious, and remember. It's okay to indulge. Everything in Moderation!
that sounds very yummy. I call my banana puddin "happy ending pudding" since there is a lot of groaning when peeps eat it.
I'm sure that's delish - it's Ms. Paula!! I would join in the challenge but I'm no good with that kinda stuff where you "have" to cook something specific. I'm more of a on-the-fly cook!! I'll shore be watchin' you know that!
this stuff is seriously like crack! I love it!
Amazing! Love the use of Chessman cookies.
Great pics! I also enjoyed this recipe very much. I've been dying to make it for a while now.
What a fun group. I was thinking the other day of all the Paula recipes I have made. Have you made her toffee or velveeta cheese peanut butter fudge? Those are 2 that I have LOVED! If you haven't tried them already, you really should. I think I gain 10 pounds just looking at anything she cooks. How she doesn't weigh 500 pounds is beyond me!
Ah yes...The recipe that made me fall for both you and Paula in the first place!
This one is my fave.
Yours looks great! I loved it! I had to make the bigger one since I was feeding 7 of us on it! Love your blog!
This looks really yummy! I haven't made many of Paula's recipes but I drool every time I see her cook.
Looks wonderful.
Yummmy dessert!!!! Looks like a really neat group!!!
I made this as a half-recipe kind of like you did. I made all the cream cheese/scmilk/whipped topping mixture and used half in the recipe with a small box of pudding, and froze the other half of the cream cheese mixture (in the whipped topping container!) for another time. It thawed well in the fridge and I was able to make it again with another small box of pudding.
Sherri, head on over and join it is so fun. You only have to participate twice a month so thats good.
GroovyGirl, it is definitly a moaning and a groaning dessert, so sinful.
Awee Mcbee your just the sweetest thank you so much. I love Paula and all her recipes so this is fun for me.
Susie I will have to remember it for the next time. What a great idea. Thanks Ü
Tina, I've made this recipe and we love it. I agree with Meg, your use of the Chessman cookies takes it over the top. Smart idea neighbor.

Hi Bunny, It is hosted by another fellow blogger and Paula Deen Fan. She just started it this month it is similar to Tuesday with Dorie. It is really fun + we get to cook all paulas dishes that are selected how can you go wrong.
