Happy Easter & It's Blubonnet Season.

I just want to wish all my readers a Happy Easter. So here is a virtual Easter Greeting from Mommy's Kitchen. I hope everyone has a wonderful day filled with family, friends, fun and food of course!!!! I will post my Easter Day Dessert as soon as I decide what I am making. I have it narrowed down to two things. My Strawberry Soda Pop Cake or a Strawberry Cheesecake Bowl. I will probably decide sometime later today. For Breakfast I am making Paula Deen's Orange Coffee Cake, you know me I have to have something Paula! The forecast here in North Texas for Easter day is not going to be very sunny and spring like. so, it has put a bit of a damper on things to say the least. I don't think the weather is going to cooperate to have a outside egg hunt or not we will have to wait and see.
No worries, I think I will use my back up plan instead and host a Surprise Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt. The prize in the end will be their Easter Baskets of course and a extra little something. All in all I will still make it a fun day for the kiddos come rain or shine. I am ending my post with some pretty Texas Blue Bonnets photos. It is our tradition to take annual Bluebonnet photos every year. My oldest thinks he is way to cool to be included so it is just the little guys and me. What are your plans for Easter Day?

I love when Spring arrives in Texas. Becasue I know all those pretty Bluebonnet Flowers are not far behind.

Very Cute!

Mackenzie and me not a bad picture considering my 5 year old took it. Great job Carson.

Mr. Handsome Himself poor little guy the sun was right in his face.

Happy Easter :) I found you on google search today while looking for a crockpot oatmeal recipe. I can't wait to make it tonight for Easter morning - we have to be at church EARLY and it looks very easy and saves me cooking in the morning! I'll definitely be back for more recipes!

Happy Easter, Mommy! Your bluebonnet pictures are gorgeous; you have beautiful children. We usually go over to Denison Dam for our bluebonnet pictures, but haven't made it up there yet.

So beautiful. With all your knowledge in the kitch I would think you're a granny in a red checkered apron but you are soooo young. And your kids are beauties.

Heidi thats funny what would we do without our trusty photo takers. Sometimes it takes a few tries but they finally get it, sometimes better than me.

Mamahen, You made me want the oatmeal, so i made it for Easter morning as well. Please check out the recipe as I have made some changes to the cooking method. I think the end result is so much better.

newlyweds, I didnt realize you were in Texas either to funny. Did you take the boys out for some bluebonnet pics?

Sila, hurry b4 the bluebonnets are all gone. All this rain is surley going to wash them away. They are really bright and blue right now.

Debbie I am glad you liked the cheeseburger buns. YEAH!!! I left you a comment on your post as well. It is definitly a keeper. Just stuff those babies with as much stuffing as they will hold.

Steph, can I say Thank you & I LOVE YOU!!!! the years are flying by I wish I was young but the 40's are not that bad. The heck with granny I would love a red checkered apron, I am a apron nut!! LOL
