I am nearly 70 years old and my mother is 88. Neither of us have ever used any flour for making biscuits other than White Lily Self-Rising. My Grandmother used it before us. It truly is the flour to use if you like high and light, fluffy biscuits. That being said, I wanted to tell you about a cookbook White Lily published many years ago. Occasionally, you can find this book on eBay. (It's about 9 x 11 inches and is a hard back book.) In this book is the original recipe for their "Angel Biscuits." At one time, the recipe was also published on their bags of flour. I've seen a few other recipes for Angel Biscuits but I believe White Lily is the original one. I hope you can find this book because I think it will be one you will treasure for years to come.
Sincerely,
Charlotte B. in northeast TennesseeCharlotte B. in northeast Tennesseehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06389883623961863153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8390396285139687239.post-27539171011931449532017-10-28T15:11:57.514-05:002017-10-28T15:11:57.514-05:00Some WalMarts Carry White Lily you can google the ...Some WalMarts Carry White Lily you can google the store in your area to see which one has it.
