Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites

A delicious no bake peanut butter filling is sandwiched between two pretzels and dipped halfway into milk chocolate. These Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites are the perfect sweet and salty Valentines Day treat!
If you're looking for a fun Valentines Day treat, but don't have a lot of time, these festive Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites are perfect. They only require a handful of ingredients making them not only delicious, but simple as well.

I love chocolate and peanut butter don't you? It really is the best combination. Then add the saltiness and crunch of a pretzel and it ends up being the perfect sweet and salty treat. I have to warn you these are so addicting and once you start eating them it's hard to stop.

I found these yummy little gems over on Pinterest a couple months back. I had every intention of making them for Christmas, but just plain forgot. Well, I needed a fun sweet treat for Valentines Day and these little babies immediately popped into mind.

I used a different peanut butter filling because the one listed was a bit gritty for my taste. I think it was from the brown sugar. Since the peanut buttery middle reminded me of a buckeye I just used my buckeye recipe instead. I think the end result was so much better.

I have included some easy step by step photos. Start by combining the confectioners sugar, butter, peanut butter, and vanilla in a large bowl. Mix well until it forms a dough. Using a small cookie scoop to make the little balls. Scoop out one scoopful of peanut butter mixture and then break in half. Roll each half into one ball. (I found this to be the perfect size).

Sandwich each one between two whole pretzels. Continue with remaining dough. When all the balls are rolled and successfully sandwiched, stick the whole tray in the freezer for about 45 minutes.

Melt the chocolate almond bark in the microwave for 3 minutes on the defrost setting. Continue in 3 minute intervals until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Remove the pretzel sandwiches from the freezer and quickly dip each half-way into the melted chocolate. Add festive sprinkles.

When you have finished dipping all the pretzels, return the tray to the freezer to set up completely.

These festive little pretzel bites look so cute in clear holiday treat sacks. We will defiantly be giving some out for teacher gifts.

Recipe yields approx - 45 bites

Ooh yum. Those look awesome. I don't think brown sugar was needed in that recipe at all anyway.
I think the way you've done these are exactly the way I would.

I agree on the brown sugar, I made them for superbowl, and I thought the brown sugar was too much. I don't eat chocolate so I did not dip them, and they were still very good. I will be omitting the brown sugar next time I make them.
