Super Bowl Sunday is almost here! Are you hosting a big Superbowl party or attending one? Whatever your plans are lots of tasty food on hand is a must. For me I'm not a big sports buff and football isn't for me. When it comes to the Super Bowl it's more about spending time with friends and all about the food!!!!! I think football parties are my all time favorite gatherings.
When planning your Super Bowl party keep it simple with finger foods and portable snacks. That way everyone isn't stuck at the table eating when they really want to be in front of the TV watching the big game. When it comes to football food it should be simple and hands on. Make sure you have plenty of napkins, disposable utensils and plates. That way your guests can load up their plates and get back to the game.

Today I wanted to share some
Super Bowl and Game Day Recipe Ideas. All of the recipes are perfect whether you are planning a a big party or attending one. If you have been invited to a big Super Bowl bash, don't forget to bring something to contribute to the party. Why you ask? Because the host of the party will appreciate it and because that's what my mama always told me to do. Never show up empty handed.
All of the recipes I have listed are really big crowd pleasers and nothing fancy schmancy. Let's start with some fast and easy dip recipes. A party wouldn't be a party without
Velveeta Famous Queso Dip. This recipe is easily made in a crock pot
which makes it a big time saver. Leave it plain for dipping and for nachos or try a few of the mix in's, for a variety of cheesy goodness.
Charleston Cheese Dip is hot cheesy bowl of bacon, cream cheese, sharp cheddar and monterey jack cheese. Goodness it's like a bowl of cheese heaven. Serve with tortilla scoops, crackers or bagel chips.
Trisha Yearwood's Hot Corn Dip is another warm cheesy dip. I prepared this dip in the crock pot as a big time saver. But is also great because it keeps the dip warm for guests. All they have to do is help themselves to a big bowl. This dip is not chick food by far. Last time I made it even the men thought this dip was good.
Instead of your traditional Pinto Bean Dip why not try a White Bean Dip instead. This dip is so creamy and good it's hard to believe it good for you .
Black Bean & Corn Salad is more like a chunky salsa to me. Serve with Tostito or Frito Scoops. If you never thought you like black beans just try this salad.
Oh my lord!!!! Hidden Valley Ranch Sausage Stars have to be my all time favorite holiday and party food. Once you get a taste of these you will be making them time and time again. These yummy stars consist of browned sausage, ranch dressing and Mexican cheeses all stuffed into a little won ton wrapper cup. All your guests will be asking for this recipe.
Tortilla Ham & Cheese Pin Wheels are always a popular party food. Simple yet versatile. Just use your favorite meat and cheese combinations to suit your taste.
Pepperoni Pizza Bites are kid and adult friendly. Fill these yummy little pizza bites with all your favorite pizza toppings. The best thing about these pizza bites is the pizza sauce is served on the side for dipping.
Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents are another great portable snack. These tasty baked crescents rolls are filled with browned sausage and cream cheese.
Texas Jalapeno Poppers Oh yeah now were talking party food. These are very popular down here in the Lone Star State. Fresh Jalapenos stuffed with a mixture of cream and sharp cheddar cheese then breaded and fried. If you're not a fan of cream cheese just use mixture of cheddar and monterey jack.
Pizza Sammies are perfect for the big and little kids at your party. The next few recipes are a bit more filling than you usual chip, dip and appetizer recipes. These pint size pizzas pack a big punch on your stomach so don't eat to many.
White Castle Sliders are another stick to your rib party food. If your a fan of White Castles you need to try the homemade version. These are not the real deal but just as tasty. These make the perfect little party burger. Double the recipe if you are feeding a large crowd.
Homemade Corn Dogs is not your typical party food, but they are if you make them into mini corny dogs. Don't forget lots of ketchup and mustard for dipping.
Instead of making pigs in a blanket with crescent roll dough why not try this homemade version. The roll dough for these Pigs in a Blanket can be made ahead of time for easy assembly on game day. Make mini piggies for this recipe as well. Stuff these with or without cheese, it's all up to you.
If you want something more filling these Pizza Subs/Rolls would be perfect. These will really fill the men up at your party.
Coney Island Hot Dogs are another filling game day meal. Hot Dogs with Coney Island Sauce.
The Pioneer Womans Cowboy Nachos would be perfect game day food. If you don't have leftover brisket or roast, I think ground beef would work just fine.
I am also adding two soup recipes to my list of Super Bowl Eats Baked Potato Soup and
Meaty Taco Soup. This Taco soup is great because it can be prepered in the crock pot while you work on all the other yummy foods you will be serving.
On a sweeter note how about a gooey Caramel Apple Dip
or a Fluffy Fruit Dip.
Everyone loves a sweet ending. Fudge Puddles aka Puddles of Yum are perfect. Not only are the a portable dessert, but the recipe makes quite a few cookies.
How about Smores Cookie Bars? All I can say about this deadly dessert is..... just make them because who can resist that photo. Goodness time for me to pick my jaw up off the keyboard and wipe off the drool.
Knock Ya Naked brownies another easy and decadent treat. These brownies are great crowd pleaser. You can prepare these up to a day before the big game.
If the desserts above are not enough here is another brownie recipe, Marshmallow Frosted Brownies with homemade frosting. Bake up a big tray for your next bash.

And finally here is a fun treat for the adults.
Margarita Jell-O Bites.Goodness these are so good and creamy. Not for the kids because there is actual Tequila in these babies.
There you have it all my favorite eat's from Mommy's Kitchen. I hope you will give a few of these recipes a try at your Super Bowl Gathering.

Oh my goodness girl! All of that looks way to good. I do not know what to choose from. I love them all. I am definitely going to try one of the hot dips and the smores bars.....yum, yum, yum! Blessings and I will not begin my diet until after the superbowl.
Had to wipe the drool off my keyboard so I could type. YUMMY! I am so hungry now, can I just come to your house on Sunday? :) Thanks for all the great recipes, I'm sure I will be making at least a few of these!
These are fantastic, Tina! I want to come to your party! i love everything that you have posted here. Wonderful!!
Not that you need it, but here's another great one that my family requires at any sporting event.
8oz cream cheese (use the brick it's easier.)
1 8oz can diced tomatoes, drained (You can use fresh tomatoes, but the canned just makes it easier.)
1 green pepper, chopped
1 jar salsa
2 C shredded cheese.
Take a 8x8 pan and put the cream cheese in it. You'll want to smear it so it covers the bottom of the pan.
Cover the cream cheese with the salsa. Then put the green peppers and tomatoes on top of that. and finally put the shredded cheese on the top covering the entire top.
We get the scoop tortilla chips to eat it with since it's so good.
I am not a big foot ball person but game day parties can be alot of fun. And your food looks fantastic.
Oh my I want to go to your house for game day. Everything looks like something I love.
