No Peek Beef Tips & Gravy

If you're looking for an easy beef tips and gravy recipe, look no further! ... This No Peek Beef Tips recipe is tender, delicious and makes it's own Gravy!
Last week was back to school week at our house, so my kiddo's as well as I are trying to adjust from summer to school mode again. Getting everyone up early has been the biggest challenge!! No more sleeping in and nobody gets that. My oldest is starting high school, my youngest is starting kindergarten and my daughter will be in the third grade.

The hardest part has been trying to get my youngest son going in the morning...... Bless his heart he still doesn't understand that he has to go to school and that it isn't a choice! To add fuel to the fire, I started babysitting a 5 month old baby girl, so its been an adjustment for all of us. I have to admit it that it sure has been nice having a baby in the house again.

I've definitely been pressed for time, but we will get it all figured out. It's only the first week right? Getting back into a dinner routine and planning a menu has been my biggest challenge. So to kick off the first week of back-to-school, I am sharing a quick and easy meal that my family loves.

If you're looking for an easy beef tips and gravy recipe, look no further! This No Peek Beef Tip recipe is super simple and quite delicious. The meat turns out so tender every time plus, it makes its own gravy so, it doesn't get any better than that. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes or pasta. This recipe is prepared in one pan, so clean up is a snap!

I like to use chuck roast or chuck eye, but you could also us stew meat. Sirloin steak can tend to be dry so I usually don't use it. This recipes cooks low and slow at 300 degrees for 3 hours. After all of the ingredients are added to the baking dish tightly cover the pan with aluminum foil and ...... DON'T PEEK, because all the steam will escape, and you need that to help keep the meat nice and tender.

This recipe is perfect if you have guests for dinner, because you don't have to spend a ton of time in the kitchen. Once your guests walk through the door they will be overcome with the aroma of these delicious beef tips baking in the oven. Anytime I make this meal everyone always asks for the recipe. :) Let's get started on the step-by-step recipe.

To start, add the cubed meat to a 9 x 13 inch pan. In a separate bowl add dry onion soup mix, cream soup, dry gravy mix and 1 1/2 cup water. Using a whisk mix until blended.

Pour over the meat add mushrooms and stir to coat. (I did not use mushrooms my DH asked me not to) darn it mushrooms are the best part. Stir to coat all the meat. Cover with foil tightly and bake at 300 degrees for 2 1/2 - 3 . Remember no peeking.

This is where it earned it's name NO PEEK! Be very careful when removing the foil the steam is very hot and will escape fast. Let cool a bit and serve over rice or noodles.

Yum!! The meat turns out very tender and the gravy is the perfect consistency.

That looks great! And yes, I totally agree - food can be pretty. I think you'd be pushing it to try to call food handsome, but pretty is definitely acceptable. :-)

We had these for supper last night and they were delicious and super easy. The hardest part was cutting the meat. We liked them even better than the ones we get at one of our favorite restaurant.

I just found your site (by way of another mom's recommendation). This recipe sounds great. I saw several comments that asked about using the crock pot. For a working mom who's gone all day, that sounds great. Has anyone tried it?
Tina Butler said…
That is so funny that I got a comment tonight on the beef tips. We just had it for dinner a couple hours ago. I prepared mine in the oven as always. I think if you want to make it in the crock pot. Just add the meat and the rest of the ingredients and Cook on low 5-6hours or on high 3-4 hours. I did have one person tell me awhile back when the prepared it in the crockpot it was a bit watery. That is why i prepare mine in the oven, becuause the gravy is perfect everytime.
I just found your site thru a google search and just today I have made 2 of the receips on here. The No Peek Beef tips are now cooking, earlier for lunch we had the popcorn-sesame chicken...yum! Your recipes are very easy to follow, I am all about pictures. Thank you soo much for your Blog..it has become my recipe book. :)

Yum -- this was awesome! I had (and lost) a tasty crockpot beef and noodles recipe, but it required three cans of the pricier Campbell's soup that don't have store brand equivalents and it usually turned out a bit watery. This was perfect! Next up: Fall off the Bone Ribs! :)
I've made this many times since I found your site. It always turns out great. It's my husband's favorite. Yum. I've even served it to company.
Tina Butler said…
Donna I am so glad you like it. This recipe is perfect for company or a crowd. The meat turns out fork tender everytime. Thanks for stopping by.

Mmmmm... fabulous! I just made these this weekend and posted about it here.

Loved them! Thanks for the recipe!
Made this the other day and it is SO yummy! My 8 year old "beef aficionado" said "MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" with the first bite and then proclaimed this the #1 recipe for the month" ( and we still have the whole month to go) He said it tasted like my pot roast that he loves but BETTER ...so in my book that is a keeper!

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe. I googled a recipe, Chocolate Chess Pie, last year for my hun to make for the holiday season since both of our mothers are passed away & made excellent foods but no recipes to pass down. Well ever since then I come to your board first for great southern homestyle recipes esp. this one, this is a HUGE HIT at my house. Super Duper easy to make the only change I make to mine is instead of using just plain onion soup mix I use Lipton's Beefy Onion, love it w/ mushrooms but the hun & kiddo don't. :( This reminds me of how my mother used to make them for her work--sooo delish. & I must apologize for I have now became a Mommys Kitchen stalker I just love the ease, simplicity, & taste of every single recipe i've made from here so Thank You for this blog, again LOVE it! :D --Tina

Thank you so much for the nice comment about MK. I love that chocolate chess pie recipe it's so fudgy and delicious. I will use the beefy onion soup next time. I bet it gives it a rich flavor and that would be great. Don't worry about becoming a stalker because I stalk a few cooking blogs myself. LOL

I've never tried an American food before, and I was scared that I or my hubby won't like it. So, I took a risk and I'm glad I tried it!

HI! I have recently found your site and it's great! I love it bc it's so practical and useful and just Down Home. I was wondering, I belong to a Bunco group, and was wondering if I could make this recipe for our get together. It's 12 women. Do you think doubling the recipe or two 13x9 pans are enough? They aren't big eaters, we just stand and talk while we eat. I have a great broccoli casserole recipe I think would go good with this!
Tina Butler said…
@Anonymous - I'm so glad you stumbled onto Mommy's Kitchen. I love new readers. If you're feeding a group of 12 I would probably double the recipe. I would hate for there not to be enough if you want seconds. The meat is so tender and tasty that believe me everyone will want seconds. I think the broccoli casserole would pair perfectly. LMK how it goes if you make the recipe.
Anonymous said…
I made this for dinner last night and it was great! I used the chuck eye cut of meat, beefy onion soup that another person suggested and added in fresh mushrooms. I put it over noodles. Really enjoy your website, thanks so much!
Anonymous said…
I made it tonight and it was delicious! Everyone loved it. We had it with white rice, but my husband suggested a seasoned rice next time. Our family doesn't like mushrooms, so we didn't add the extra mushrooms. I put the cream of mushroom soup, gravy mix and water in a blender for about 20 seconds until the little mushroom pieces were gone. If my husband saw any he wouldn't of eaten it. Baby right? Lol. Definitely making it again! Thanks for sharing!
Tina Butler said…
My husband is the same way with mushrooms, onions and peppers. I have to grind them up or leave them out. So I really do understand. You gotta do what you have to do.

Hi! I just found you via Pinterest and love reading your blog. On this recipe, can I do it in the crockpot? I saw others asked, but never saw the answer. Keep up the good work!
Anonymous said…
oh this was so delicious! i haven't had beef tips in years because i couldn't find a recipe that was flavorful. this recipe is perfect. i cooked it half in the oven for 1.5 hours and continued to finish it in a crockpot. i added about 2 tbsp of cornscratch to thicken the gravy. perfect!!!
jmpyles said…
This recipe is great in a crockpot! I've cooked a recipe very similar but with sour cream and no gravy mix. It's a family favorite. I'll have to try this version.

I made this tonight and everyone loved it, including my picky 8 year old.

Tina Butler said…
I have made it with water or gingerale. There doesn't seem to be a difference in either version.

How do I put a recipe in my recipe box on here?
Tina Butler said…
I just added the blue save recipe button just above the recipe. Just click on the button to save it to your recipe box.

I am having to slowly add the button to all my posts. I have over 400 recipes to add the button to, so it will take a bit of time.

If you see a recipe that does not have the button. Just leave a comment and I can get the button added.

I am working my way backwards from most recent posts.

I tried this for the first time tonight with beef stew tips. Both my boyfriend and I loved it! I had read the recipe earlier today, and bought some alfredo sauce for the noodles, but I didnt even need it because the gravy was the perfect amount for the noodles. Awesome recipe, thanks for sharing.

Could this be done in a crockpot instead if the oven? I'm always on the lookout for a good crockpot recipe!
Tina Butler said…
I have never made this in the crock pot. You can scroll through the comments. I think a few have adjusted this recipe for a crock pot version. I'm not sure how the results would be for the gravy. You might have to thicken it a bit if you cook it in the crock pot. All you can do is try and see how the recipe turns out.
Anonymous said…
I must say that I was so happy with the results of this recipe! This one is definitely going in the "keep" file and will probably become a regular one in our house. I fixed homemade mashed potatoes and green beans tonight but next time I think I'll make some egg noodles. So yummy! Thanks!
Anonymous said…
I tried looking, but couldn't find the answer, so here is my question.

How many does this serve?
Anonymous said…
@ #67...

When I made the recipe, I mistakenly used only 1 lb of meat and therefore I was able to get two servings out of the meat (340 cal for 8oz on the lean cut I used) with lots of leftover gravy. So, my guess for the original recipe as followed, you can get anywhere from 4-8 servings.

Made these last week! I AM SO GLAD I FOUND A NEW RECIPE FOR STEW MEAT!! The family thought this was a *little* salty (but still great!) so I would recommend using low sodium cream of mushroom if possible!

If I halve the recipe would it cook for less time? I am making this for just two people!
SandiB said…
You can totally do this in the crockpot-just leave out the water! gravy consistency is perfect! I doubled and cooked on LOW for 5 hours. It was a tad salty, so I agree to use the low sodium soup or a little less than a whole packet of onion soup mix. It was fabulous!!!
Tasha Miller said…
What soup would you recommend substituting the cream of mushroom as noone in my family likes mushrooms?

I tried this for dinner tonight and it was wonderful however extreamly salty. Any suggestions as to what I could change in the recipe or add to it?
Tina Butler said…
I don't know why it was so salty for you. It isn't for us. Everyones taste buds are different. The only thing I can think of is only add half of the onion soup mix and see if that works for you.

YUMMY!!!!! I came across this recipe on Pinterest and thought it sounded easy and tasty. When I told my BF I was making Beef Tips for dinner and how I was going to make them he was skeptical. He said that's not how my mother makes them, I wouldn't be suprised if they don't turn out too good. I decided to make them anyway and hope to prove him wrong :) 3 hours later diner is finished and he ate half of the Beef Tips! He said they were DELICIOUS and wants me to make them again! Thank you for sharing this recipe, it was a hit!

I made this last night and it was super easy, and delicious!!
I do not like mushrooms, so I omitted the mushrooms and substituted cream of chicken soup. I used the ginger ale, but also added about 1 cup of red wine. I served over Linguine noodles (didnt have fettucini in the house), and also served with some bisquits on the side. This will be on my regular recipe rotation for us.
Thanks for sharing!!

I dislike mushrooms as well and I always substitute cream of mushroom soup with cream of celery soup. I haven't tried it with this recipe yet, but I'm planning on making it tomorrow (and in the crockpot instead of the oven).

Hi, great site, for everyone asking this is great in crockpot, so gravy is not thin, after you put everything in lay paper towelson top not in and put lid on that the extra water will be absorbed

Hi! I made this today, and I did mine in the crock. I work a crazy schedule so oven was out of the question. I bought a pack of stew meat that was just over three pounds so I used a packet and a half of the gravy and soup mixes and did one can mush soup and one can water the gravy came out perfect. my crock has a keep warm setting so I cooked it on that for 8 hours and it was perfect! I am so glad I found your blog, lots to look through

I stumbled on this recipe on pintrest and I am so glad I did. I have been looking for something different because my girls get burned out so fast on my favorite things to cook. This was the ticket, I am a busy working mom so I always try to find stuff I can throw in my trusty crock and go, I didn't have any problems. I had more than two pounds of meat so I used a packet and half of each of the gravy and soup mixes and then 1 can soup to one can water the gravy was not watery which was a concern since crock cooking tends to make extra moisture. my pot has a keep warm setting so I cooked it on that for 8 hours and it was PERFECT! So happy I stumbled on to your blog

Has anyone tried putting fresh peppers and onions in this? Or do you think they'd get completely mushy?

I found this recipe on Pinterest and made it last night. It comes together quickly, dirties just one dish, and everyone LOVED it! I used closer to 2 1/2 lbs of beef and there was still plenty of gravy. We had it with homemade mashed potatoes. Will definitely make again and double it.

I have no idea what I d, but after cooking for 3 hours there was no gravy it was scorched on the bottom of the pan and so was the meat!

I made this for my hubby tonight and he LOVED it! After 30 years of marriage I'm tired of cooking the same old things so this (and a few others I found on Pinterest) are helping to take the boredom out of cooking. Thank you

Do you think this would be good if I made it a few hours before cooking it and stored it in the fridge? I watch two kids during the day so I like to prep everything during naptime and then be able to just throw it in the oven when it's getting close to dinner..

I make Beef Tips but I use my crockpot ... in fact they are cooking as I type this commment. I use beef whatever is on sale: stew meat, roast or steak. If cutting it up yourself make 2" chunks of meat.
Recipe - 2 - 3 lbs. meat, 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup [can use healthy kind] and 1 package onion soup mix. Stir it up until meat is coated & cooked on low 6 - 9 hours. Serve over rice, potatoes or pasta. * Good with a can of mushrooms stirred in at the end of cooking time.

Made this tonite. Was okay. Basically tastes like roast. Was too salty...any ideas for that? I actually used a bit more meat than recipe called for, so wasn't expecting the saltiness. I'll make it again with some adjustments!

Left overs are amazing so its not worth cutting it in half
Unknown said…
for all of you hunters out there, I've made this with elk and oryx meat and it was amazing. You might want to add about a quarter cup extra water because the gravy turns out a little dry due to the lean meat. Overall amazing over mashed potatoes!
Unknown said…
This was absolutely amazing! I substituted cream of mushroom soup for cream of chicken, because that was all I had and it turn out fantastic. My husband loved it and it was great for leftovers!

Heather Arsuaga,
Cream of mushroom soup is what the recipe calls for, so you did it right. I don't use cream of chicken soup in this recipe.

I made this last week for company (doubled the recipe last week)and am making again tonight. It was a huge hit. Kids and adults all went back for seconds. I did change a couple of things... I cooked it in my cast iron dutch oven (still did not peek) and because it usually cooks a bit faster than other ways, I only cooked it for 2 1/2 hours and it was perfect. I also browned the beef before I poured the gravy mixture over the top. Hubby doesn't care for mushrooms but I just chopped them up into small pieces and they cooked down into the gravy. Thanks for sharing the recipe - it is a new favorite in our house.

This is amazing! I used a jar of gravy instead of the packet. it is the most tender beef roast I have ever had. I also served it over mashed potatoes. I cannot express how wonderful this meal was. thank you!!!

Looks great! Can't wait to try it!
For those of you who said it was too salty, there is low(er) sodium Onion soup mix & brown gravy mix, along w/ low sodium cream of mushroom soup - so it may taste better with those.
Also wondering, for those who don't like mushrooms, if this would be good with cream of onion soup - and maybe even add in some cut up onions with it? I do love onions! :)

I cooked them in the crockpot last night & it worked great! I added a little over a Tbsp of cornstarch and the gravy was the perfect consistency

If I dbl the recipe, do I dbl cooking time as well??

I am answering to the comment # 121, I use cream of onion soup in this and it always turns out great. I do not think you will need to add additional onions as it will have the onion soup mix and the cream of onion soup. This is absolutely devine.

I LOVED this! I used raw mushrooms instead of canned (8oz or so) and I was short on time, so I bumped it to 375° for 2 hours. Was perfect! Thank you!!

Made this tonight for dinner, but the thickness of the gravy was like water. When poured over the noodles the gravy just sank to the bottom leaving the beef on top.

This was amazing! The only things I did different was use beer instead of ginger ale and added garlic. Used all lower sodium ingredients, and the liquid was definitely nice and thick like a gravy! Next time I will QUADRUPLE the recipe so I can have some in the freezer for lazy weeknights. Served on top of spaghetti squash, delicious! Thank you!

Was that a Cali Bowl you mixed in?

Made this tonight. Was really good. Will be making again.
Mine wasn't salty. I used one pack of onion packet and almost full pack of gravy. I used less meat - only 1.3 lb and cooked about 2 hrs. Maybe if I would have cooked longer would have gotten a little more tender? Was good though, will be making again.

Wonderful! Just what a busy grandma with two little ones running around needed! Simple to put together - in the oven and dinner is done! The only change I made was adding a little minced garlic and thinly sliced onion. Thank you for a great recipe !

Hey. This recipe looks so good but my family wont eat mushrooms. Do you think it would be good with cream of chicken or something instead?
Anonymous said…
I made this last night. Super easy and great flavor. I think (3) hrs was a bit too long. I'll definitely make it again and double the gravy and check on it after 2 1/2 hrs. Served with egg noodles....perfection!

I found this recipe on Pinterest and I must say it is soooooo gooooood!!! I had to make some variations the first time I cooked it. Instead of onion soup mix, (my son-in-law doesn't like onions), I used beef consomme and did not add any additional liquid. I also added garlic and onion powder. I cooked it in the crockpot on high for 2 hours. It came out perfect. I also served the tips (with mushrooms) over mashed potatoes.

Today I am making it at my son's home and am using beef broth in place of the consomme. It smells delicious and I cannot wait until dinner time.

Thank you for such a wonderful, quick, and easy meal.

Question..
Does the foil also go on the bottom of the pan or just the top?
I really want to try this!
Anonymous said…
Made these beef tips this week in the crock pot. I omitted the water but did add about half a cup of red wine. Cooked on low for about 4 hours, then added a tablespoon of watered down cornstarch and cooked for another hour before serving. PERFECT! This will be a staple in our house.

You just need to use the foil to cover the top of the pan.

I do cream of potatoe

This tasted great! However, if I make again I will double the gravy ingredients, as there was not much gravy even using only 1 1/4 lb stew meat.

Do you think this would work in the crock pot? It is rare that I have three hours to let something bake, but it would be great if it could cook during the day while I am gone :)!

This was GOOD! I found this recipe on Pinterest. I used stew meat because that's what was already cut up in the package. I also used water, not ginger ale. And I also added the mushrooms. I served it over basmati rice with grilled asparagus, broccoli, and a baguette. We loved it! Thank you!

Had company for dinner tonight and made this recipe... used a Burgundy beef roast and fresh mushrooms instead of canned. This was SO GOOD!there were no leftovers and my company asked me for the recipe. Thank you, will definitely make this again!

Thanks for the awesome recipe! I forgot to get mushrooms from the store (which would have made this even more fantabulous), but had everything else. We served it with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli and it was an instant hit! It will definitely be going into the family recipe box!

My in-laws are coming tonight (the whole family, so 5 people) and I'm making this as their "welcome" meal. I am so excited! I am doubling the recipe since there will be 7 people total, including 5 strapping men. I LOVE mushrooms, so I got 2 containers of fresh ones from the produce section. I don't care if no one else likes them, they can just suck it up! Haha! I think they all do though. How can you NOT love mushrooms? So weird. Anyway, I am using eye round roasts (had to get 2). I am glad you can use this with a lot of different cuts. So excited to try this, it seems pretty healthy too. I'm going to make a big bowl of mashed potatoes and probably some green beans or some collards. SO excited to get this in the oven today!!!

Made this for the first time last night. It's only myself and my very picky almost 13 year old. She LOVED it! I brought some in for my co-worker to try as well (good as left overs too) she LOVED it!! Thanks so much for the recipe!! I do have one question though...what is the difference in using ginger ale vs. water? I used water because I didn't have ginger ale, but just wondered what the difference is.

Thanks :)

This is a wonderful and easy recipe. I will definitely be making this again.
Thanks

Made this tonight with water instead of ginger ale. Was worried that it was going to be too salty as other reported, but not the case at all. Seasoning was perfect, my husband said after the first bite, "won't need salt and pepper tonight."

We ran late getting home and I cooked it at 310-degrees for 2 hours 15 mins, then at 350-degrees for 15 more minutes. The meat was so tender and the gravy was the perfect consistency.

These words were actually said, "I don't know who said you were a bad cook. You must have never made this for them."

Simply, fast, inexpensive and most importantly it was DELIOUS!!

Haven't read the previous comments, but wondering if I could make this in the crockpot? Has anyone tried?

Got this recipe years ago when my son was in cub scouts; made it in a cast iron dutch oven and placed in a campfire and also adapted well to the crockpot, and I do add mushrooms either fresh or canned.
Anonymous said…
Has anyone done this in a crockpot? If so what setting/how long? How did it turn out? I just started using my crock pot so I am not too sure how this recipe would work in it.
Anonymous said…
I've made this several times, but my kids don't like mushrooms. I use cream of broccoli or cream of potato soup and just omit the mushrooms all together. It is very good with or without the mushrooms.

I cooked this this morning for 4 hours in the crockpot on high. It was perfect. Gravy wasn't too thin. I followed the recipe exactly and will be serving it tonight over texas toast(like open face roast beef)with creamed potatoes and a vegetable. Thanks for this very easy, awesome dish!

Oh goodness Mary Ann that sounds wonderfully delicious! I'm so glad it turned and you liked it.

Hi Tina,

I just wanted to tell you how much my sister and our families enjoy this recipe. Today I'm trying it with cube steaks and see how that works I imagine it will be just as delicious as this is such a versitile recipe. Thanks again! both my sister and I have made it many, many, many times :) and it never lasts long.

I've made this so many times now, it's a family favorite! In fact, it's in the oven on this hot 97°, 100% humidity day! I love it! I do everything you say, with water and mushrooms, egg noodles, and broccoli! Thanks, yummy!
Unknown said…
You hooked my family and me with this! I always think it should be doubled because we love it so much! Probably made it 7+ times! It's in the oven right now on this 97° day! Thanks for sharing!

This Recipe Is AMAZING as you already know by all of the great comments! I love the beef tips at Texas Roadhouse but these have it beat! Super easy and so good! Served them with mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls! SOOOO good!!! Thank you for sharing your recipe :)

Anybody tried this in a pressure cooker?

I normally cook my beef tips in the crock pot, with beef broth for 8-10 hours, take the beef tips out, and add flour to the broth to make my own gravy. I did not get my beef tips in the crock pot in time today, so I am going to be making my beef tips with this recipe tonight. I am excited to try!
Anonymous said…
Yummy I will be trying this tonight!!!! Do you put the meat in raw or cook it first??

Its in the oven, it is smelling so good. Can't wait to eat.If it's as good as it smells this will be made again and again this fall and winter.Easy and a time saver for the weekend meal.I'll try it in the crock pot to see how it comes out. Thanks

This recipe is super easy and extremely delicious! It has become one of our favorites. We put it over mashed potatoes because that is what everyone in the house agrees is the best way! Thanks for the recipe!

My husband made this dish tonight. We had it over rice. When I walked in the house, the smell was amazing. I asked if there were any leftovers (hoping for lunch tomorrow) and he said "no", it was that good. I had bought cheap stew meat and it was SO TENDER. Could cut it with just my fork. Thanks for the wonderful recipe. May try it over mashed potatoes or noodles next time.
Anonymous said…
I made this in the crockpot. I cooked it on low for 6 hours. The meat turned out so tender and good! :)
Anonymous said…
Oh, I also added corn with the meat/gravy mix...really good! :)
Anonymous said…
If you double recipe, how long do you cook it? I really have to try this!!! Looms yummy!!
Anonymous said…
I always tell my daughter, "The simplest recipes are usually the best." This was great! So easy, and the meat just falls apart when it's done. I used Angus stew meat, but only had about 1.5 lbs. Still came out great because there was so much yummy gravy to soak bread in! I put it over plain white rice, because the gravy itself has so much flavor. Thanks for this keeper! I can't wait to eat the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. :)
Unknown said…
Great recipe ... it's nearly identical to my crockpot version of beef tips except I use beef consume instead of the water/ginger ale, and cook it on low in the crockpot! I've only served it over rice, but I love your pasta idea!

Yum, yum, yum!! I love this recipe! I do find it to be too salty for me, but I'm pretty sensitive to salt so it could just be me (hubby adored it as is). Now when I do it, I just omit the onion soup mix and use fresh onion and it's perfect. This is one of my go-to recipes, especially for entertaining. It's so darn simple but SO impressive! Thanks so much for sharing this. :)

Yum! I am making this tonight, but I am not skipping the mushrooms. They are the best part! Lol.

Baked this while at church. Was pleasantly surprised by the tenderness of the beef, which is a good thing since my children will complain about how much they have to chew when eating beef/steak. Lazy kids! They all said they liked it.

This may be a new Sunday favorite!

I have been using the elk roasts that my husband butchered for me this year and it is just right! I have just finished making a triple recipe of this and put them in the freezer for no think meals! Thank you for sharing a recipe for roasts that isn't just a roast!
